Hey! So Glad You're Here.

Hi! I'm April. I write poetry sometimes, and it exists in various places online, and in notebooks I've long-since misplaced. I was raised in the place that inspired Mary Oliver, went to school where Emily Dickinson lived, and now live in the Twin Cities with my wife and my little dog. 

 

Languishing in half-formed routines in a new city, I felt I needed a creative project to hyperfocus on. For once, the timing was right, so I created this space to share my poems during National Poetry Writing Month. I hope you enjoy them, and even (and perhaps, especially) if you don't, I hope you'll reach out and tell me how they've affected you.
